Welcome to Often Imitated, my little corner for sharing my love of food and cooking. I’m a twenty-something living in New York City, spending way too much time (and most of my paycheck) discovering new restaurants, testing out recipes, and sharing them with the people around me. While I’ve always loved posting food pictures on my social media, I wanted a space to go deeper—somewhere to share my passion, experiment with recipe development, and connect with others who love food just as much as I do. And so, Often Imitated was born.

What is Often Imitated?

Growing up, my dad had a signature phrase whenever he served up a meal:
"Often imitated, never duplicated, world famous…"

So, when it came time to name this blog, it only felt right to pay tribute to the person who first introduced me to the joy of cooking—and who taught me my favorite recipes. While restaurant recommendations and recipes will be at the heart of Often Imitated, my hope is that it becomes something even more: a place to celebrate good food, great company, and the stories we share around the table.
